"THE DECATUR THEATRE" Opened Sept. 10th, 1940 Located in Decatur, GA. McDonough Street---Just Off the Square. Construction cost in 1940. $75,000.00
The Decatur Theatre is the last word in modern theatre operation,completely fireproof and air-conditioned for your comfort by Carriers' Refrigerated Air Condition. The booth is equipped with the latest Simplex projection machines,Magna Arc Lamps and Simplex Sound built from the specifications of Western Electric. The screen will be Walker's Perfected White Screen,which assures you of perfect and restful vision. Seven hundred and fifty American Seating Company deluxe body form chairs and Alexander-Smith Crestwood Carpet throughout the theatre. The stage is built and equipped to handle all type stage presentations.
